About Habitat for Humanity
For 40 years, Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity has been transforming lives across the Greater Richmond region by providing safe, affordable housing to families in need. Through volunteer labor, community partnerships, and financial support, Habitat builds and repairs homes for individuals who otherwise might not have access to stable housing. Their mission, to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope, provides families in the Richmond area with the security and dignity that a safe home brings.
In our own community, far too many families struggle with the rising costs of housing, with many spending well over 30% of their income on rent alone. Richmond Habitat addresses this crisis directly, offering homeownership opportunities, critical home repairs, and educational resources that help families build long-term stability. Their efforts ripple outward, creating stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities. Learn more at richmondhabitat.org.
