About FeedMore

FeedMore is dedicated to providing hunger relief throughout Central Virginia. Since its humble beginnings in 1967 with the launch of Meals on Wheels serving just eight clients, FeedMore has grown into a comprehensive hunger relief organization. In 1980, the Central Virginia Food Bank was established by 60 local churches and charities to address growing hunger and poverty. In 2005, the two organizations merged to create a Community Kitchen and formalized as FeedMore in 2008. Today, FeedMore serves 34 cities and counties, delivering over 35 million pounds of nutritious food annually to neighbors in need. With over 100 employees and more than 200 volunteers, FeedMore is proud to be a member of Feeding America, Meals on Wheels America, and the Federation of Virginia Food Banks.

Our Mission

FeedMore’s mission is to provide hunger relief to neighbors in need through a network of community partners and programs. By addressing food insecurity, FeedMore aims to improve the health and well-being of individuals and families across Central Virginia.

Programs

• BackPack Program: Provides weekend meals to children who rely on school meals during the week.
• Mobile Pantry: Brings groceries directly to underserved neighborhoods, ensuring access to fresh and nutritious food.
• Meals on Wheels: Delivers nutritious meals to homebound seniors, helping them maintain their independence and health.
