Disha Garg is honored to be the Secretary General of the first iteration of TUCMUN, JR Tucker High School’s Model UN conference. As a current junior in the IB program, Disha has been participating in Model UN for two years and she is just getting started. She has lived in three countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. This has allowed her to gain an education with multicultural experiences and various unique perspectives on life. Some of Disha’s extracurriculars in her free time include painting, watching movies, and woodworking. She also loves volunteering and helping out in the community through managing and helping out with community events, as well as tutoring and teaching kids in subjects that she is passionate about such as tennis, which she has been training in for several years. In parting, Disha can’t wait to see all the delegates at Tucker’s first Model UN conference.

As a 10th Grader at J.R. Tucker High School, Manudeep Chevuru is overwhelmed with joy to be serving as the Director General of TUCMUN’s first iteration this year! Since the 7th grade, he has attended multiple conferences including HIMUNC, GODMUN, GSMUN, and FREEMUN. Manu joined the secretariat to enhance his passion for Model UN and influence other students towards Model UN too! He is also part of the school’s TSA, FBLA, and Financial Freedom Clubs. Outside of Model UN, he loves to play sports as he was part of Tucker’s volleyball and tennis team. Manu likes to engage himself in various STEM activities and Coding. Manu is beyond excited to see what TUCMUN will bring this year and years to come!

Meenakshi, a junior at JR Tucker High School, has been part of Model UN since her freshman year attending conferences throughout the years, gaining experience. Outside of TUCMUN she volunteers at soup kitchens and helps out in environmental causes through HEART Council. She is also interested in Cybersecurity and takes time to complete certifications. Also an avid member of the Computer Science Honor Society, she spends time teaching younger members of the community to take interest in STEM. In her free time she likes to knit, read, and bake. Meenakshi is excited to see all the delegates and is looking forward to a great 1st conference for TUCMUN!

Sarina has been involved in Model UN since 7th grade, attending numerous conferences throughout the years. She has also chaired a committee at MMSMUN XII. Outside of TUCMUN, Sarina loves volunteering in the community and has held many leadership roles. She participates in clubs like DECA and FBLA and enjoys debate. Her hobbies include playing soccer, reading, and spending time with kids. Sarina can’t wait to see all of the delegates at TUCMUN I and wants to remind them that their words are their greatest power.

Shreya Sharma is currently a freshman at JR Tucker High School, with a passion for Model UN since fifth grade. She has attended and helped develop several mock conferences and four full MUNs. In her free time, Shreya enjoys badminton, table tennis, reading, writing novels, and learning languages including Spanish, Norwegian, and German. She’s involved in the James River Academy of Diplomacy, YCAT, CafeEconomics, and is a published illustrator. She’s excited to see what delegates bring to TUCMUN!

Anjana has participated in Model UN for about four years. She started at HIMUNC in sixth grade and has since chaired MMSMUN XII, attended seventeen conferences, and earned several awards. She loves public speaking, poetry, Taylor Swift, reading, and hanging out with friends. She's the General Manager of MUN Club and Chief Publications Officer at the James River Academy of Diplomacy. She's super excited for TUCMUN I!

Srinika is a sophomore at Tucker and is thrilled to serve as the Undersecretary General of Logistics for TUCMUN I. She’s been involved in Model UN since 8th grade. She enjoys dancing, taekwondo, writing, arts and crafts, and volunteering. Her mantra is “live in the moment.”

Jeev is a sophomore in the IB program and an active MUN member. He’s passionate about global affairs, volleyball, and runs a motion design business he founded in 2020. He’s excited to see everyone at TUCMUN!

Theo is a sophomore in the IB program. She’s the Director of Registration and also active in Girls Who Code, stitchery, and Fellowship Student Association. She enjoys reading, baking, and hanging with friends and family.
Mr. Jones is thrilled to serve as the new sponsor for Tucker High School's Model United Nations. He has spent the past five years as a Special Educator at Tucker and previously taught Social Studies. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Old Dominion University and a Master's in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Design, from VCU. In his free time, he enjoys playing various sports with the RVA Stonewall League, reading, and traveling. Mr. Jones looks forward to contributing to the success of TUCMUN's inaugural conference.
