ECOFIN
General Assembly
About This Committee
The Economic and Financial Committee (ECOFIN) allows delegates to explore how economic policy can support recovery and stability in post-conflict states. In committee, delegates will debate how digital financial tools can be leveraged to accelerate economic recovery, improve financial inclusion, and rebuild trust in damaged economies. This raises questions about accessibility, regulation, and whether digital solutions can realistically support long-term growth. The committee will also explore how strengthening trade and regional economic integration can help post-conflict countries rebuild markets and promote economic cooperation. Delegates will consider how coordinated trade policies and regional partnerships can support sustainable recovery while reducing future economic instability. This committee will definitely involve thoughtful debate, strategic problem-solving, and an engaging discussion throughout.
Topic 1: Leveraging Digital Financial Tools to Accelerate Post-Conflict Economic Recovery
Topic 2: Strengthening Trade and Regional Economic Integration to Support Post-Conflict Improvement
Meet Your Chairs
Amishi Chopra
Hi! I’m Amishi Chopra, a sophomore in the IB Middle Years Programme at J.R. Tucker High School. I began my Model UN journey as a freshman, serving as a dual staffer for both Specialized Agencies and Crisis Committees. Beyond the committee room, I am a competitive swimmer for both J.R. Tucker and NOVA of Virginia Aquatics, a passion I’ve pursued since infancy. When I’m not in the pool or debating, I love making new memories with my friends. I am looking forward to the high-level debate ahead and the creative solutions we will build together!
Haasa Mukka
Hi, I'm Haasa, and I'm a 9th-grade student in the IB program. After three years of MUN experience, I’m excited to help create a conference that is engaging and meaningful for all delegates. Beyond MUN, I swim in and out of school, and in my free time, I love volunteering and spending time with my friends and family. I’m thrilled to be serving as a chair for ECOFIN at TUCMUN II!
