About This Committee
The Star Wars fictional Committee that is set during the final days of the Clone Wars. The Republic stands on the brink of transformation as delegates will assume the roles of key political figures, Jedi leaders, and officials. tasked with confronting the expansion of Chancellor Palpatine’s emergency powers and the declining trust in the Jedi Order. As fear, war, and propaganda spread across the galaxy, participants must balance security with democracy, debate the limits of authority, and determine whether the Republic can still be saved from falling into authoritarian rule. We will explore many important topics such as ethics, tyranny, politics, and wartime measures. This will be an engaging and diverse committee about a fictional world that has an infinite number of key factors that play into it.

Hello! My name is Smrithi Shyamsundar, a sophmore at Tucker, and this is my fifth year doing Model UN including my chairing expirience last year. After years of participating, I am excited to be apart of the second iteration of TUCMUN. Outside of MUN, I am passionate about TSA, Dance, and Tennis. I am thrilled to be your chair!
